About the role
Due to continued growth and demand for our services and customer oriented ethos, Geoffrey Robinson wish to employ and outstanding and well motivated Mechanical or Electrical Project Manager. Initially, you will assist in a substantive Energy Project we have won in the Manchester area, and then, with the assistance of our Managing Director, Directors, Business Development Manager and Administration team, take responsibility to grow and sustain the Geoffrey Robinson business model in the North West region.
Assist our Project Manager with a substantive local Building Services Project
Use your knowledge, skills and experience to assist in the development of future North East building services, to grow and sustain our presence in the region
Make a positive contribution to all aspects of the business, as an engineering professional, (estimating, CDM, project management, specification, CAD, BIMs, surveys etc.) accompanied with HR input (employ local people, mentor, guide and take the leadership role in developing the business and increasing our regional profile and influence).
Review and evaluate all projects works, ensuring compliance to specifications, drawings and customer requirements. Re-engineer customer or/and consultant requirements for greater efficiencies, better cost or improvement in quality, longevity or better solutions. Always be compliant with building standards and regulations.
Manage local employees and those approved sub-contractors who work for us, treating the customer as the priority, being open and honest with the people we serve.
Manage, oversee and prioritise multiple concurrent projects, ensuring success of projects from concept to completion, with assured quality and compliance to all HQSE requirements, in order to achieve the required growth and profitability for the company. Lead the team.
Significant mechanical and/or electrical building services engineering experience in the commercial and/or industrial sectors (NHS and MOJ would be beneficial)
Industry recognised trade or professional qualification
A strong desire for progression and responsibility, being fully supported by our management team, who wants to lead this exciting growth opportunity.

About the role
We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Project Team Administrator to assist our Project Manager with a comprehensive and wide ranging administration support primarily located at our Billingham headquarters.
As Project Team Administrator you will provide a professional and reliable support service ensuring that all documentary aspects of the Project are both compliant and in date. You will assist in arranging managing meetings, produce documentation, spreadsheets, presentations etc. and ensure that all aspects of the Project file are maintained.

Due to continued business growth and increased requirement from our clients, Geoffrey Robinson are looking to employ a full-time CAD / BIM operator in a hybrid role, encompassing both CAD production and management and the continued development of BIM capacity and strategy. It is envisaged that the role will encompass:
Hands on delivery of CAD and BIM services, both internally and externally, client facing
Preparation of, and completion of, complex building drawings, and assistance to support our engineers to evolve estimates to consider and identify fair and reasonable internal and external CAD / BIM costings
Assisting our engineering teams to delivery multi-faceted engineering projects on time and to budget
Setting up and modifying systems, processes, workflows to ensure a fluid and compliant BIM process
BIM Level 2 must be achievable and demonstrable
Qualifications and Experience
The outline experience is outlined below, and moreover we want people who work hard, respect people, and have a can do attitude.
HNC / NHC or equivalent encompassing digital software and strategies in either in either build environment / CAD / BIM / data science or change management
Commercial / Industrial experience in a relevant position
Exposure to a variety of projects, sectors, clients, and discipline experts.
Ability to contribute to the continued growth and development of the team approach, adding value for our Clients, and assurance for our company.
