We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of another significant project with County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.
The project has transformed an area at Darlington Memorial Hospital into a state-of-the-art outpatient’s facility.
The trust has invested approximately £1.2 million into the new facility, Outpatients A and the Geoffrey Robinson team has worked tirelessly to breathe new life into this area, providing a boost to the hospital’s infrastructure and services.
This project saw our multidisciplinary teams come together to deliver on time, and to budget for our client.
This included construction, mechanical, electrical, ventilation and fire engineering expertise throughout the 25-week programme.
The new facility is designed to enhance patient and staff experiences and streamline hospital operations. It includes:
- A modern reception and waiting area to welcome patients.
- Nurses’ offices and staff rest areas, providing a comfortable workspace.
- Specialised testing and consultation rooms equipped with the latest medical technologies.
- An IT hub to support the hospital’s digital infrastructure.
- A dedicated plant room housing essential mechanical equipment.
- Resurfacing works to the front of the building, including the creation of a suitable and safe ambulance and patient drop off zone.
