Celebrating another year of growth with Leeds expansion announcement

Following growing demand in the region we are announcing a new permanent base in Leeds.

With offices already in Teesside, Tyneside and Greater Manchester we employ over 300 skilled professionals across various specialities including mechanical, electrical, ventilation, construction, fire engineering and fabrication.

Following another year of sustained growth and profitability, we continue to solidify our reputation as a trusted contractor for healthcare, education, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and public sector clients including local authorities, Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Defence.

Andy Talbot, executive director at Geoffrey Robinson, said: “The addition of the Leeds office is a strategic move to bridge the gap between the North East and North West, expanding our reach and enabling us to continue delivering the reliable services that have defined our reputation for over 50 years.”

Key projects delivered over the past 12 months have included a £4m decarbonisation project at Harrogate District Hospital, the completion of a £7.5m modular urgent treatment centre at James Cook University Hospital, a £2.5m pathology ward refurbishment at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and a £5m mechanical package at HMP Millsike, the first prison being delivered under the Alliance 4 New Prisons (A4NP) Framework.

Andy continued: “We’re a people business, so it’s exciting to be growing the team and creating more opportunities for work in this region. We look forward to seeing the impact that this new team will have on our business. A huge thanks must also go to our dedicated teams and fantastic clients, we’re in a strong position, and we look forward to the opportunities ahead.”

A strong pipeline of future projects continues to strengthen the business, including a £1m+ heating network replacement project at Newcastle University forming a crucial part of their estate-wide decarbonisation programme as well as two large frameworks for a North East-based Trust worth in excess of £50m over the next 4 years.

Geoffrey Robinson has grown since the pandemic where their healthcare expertise and ability to react to the needs of the NHS led to a number of high-profile contracts including works at Nightingale Hospital North East.

A second-generation family-owned business, the company has grown into one of the largest mechanical, electrical and construction companies in the North East.
