What We Did
Geoffrey Robinson successfully completed an underground water tank replacement project at Darlington Memorial Hospital which required the construction of an associated building to house the replacement system.
Having previously partnered with the hospital’s estates department, our multidisciplinary team rapidly established site surveys, logistics, and requirements before governing delivery of the project through to completion.
However, those objectives outlined regarding replacement of the existing underground water tank system, addressing inefficiencies, and improving the overall water storage capacity, quality, and reliability across hospital operations,
could not be completed until appropriate infrastructure was developed. As such, during initial phases of the project, our build department constructed a new cold water tank building to replace the existing facility.
Since completion of construction, the building has been utilised for housing two water tanks, a pump room, and a water softening plant with an additional external tank.
Delivery of the project was undertaken within timescales, budget, and best practice, posing no disruption to the hospital’s operational environment or water supply during the contract period.
