This prestigious recognition highlights our team’s excellence in building services engineering—a core element of our operations that remains as vital today as it was when we began more than 50 years ago.
Our award win comes in part due to the successful delivery of several high-profile projects, including a £3.3m fast-tracked refurbishment and reconfiguration of a new pathology lab at the University Hospital of North Tees. This complex project, delivered by our dedicated in-house team of over 300 skilled employees, demonstrates our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional quality. The project was not only completed to the highest standards but also achieved total client satisfaction, a true testament to the skill and dedication of our workforce.
As members of BESA (Building Engineering Services Association) for nearly 40 years, we take great pride in training our team to consistently meet BESA’s rigorous standards. This long-standing commitment to industry-leading quality has been essential to our success.
In addition to this award, we were also honoured at the 2024 ECA (Electrical Contractors’ Association) Awards, where we received a Highly Commended Award for our excellence in training and development. Our passion for nurturing talent is deeply embedded in our ethos, and we are incredibly proud of the impact of our Geoffrey Robinson Academy.
With 46 people in earn-and-learn positions, representing 15% of our workforce, we are actively shaping the future of our industry.
Through 14 individual courses covering mechanical, electrical, ventilation, construction, and commercial disciplines (ranging from Level 1 to Level 6), our Geoffrey Robinson Academy is a hub for career development. We proudly collaborate with 10 education partners across the North East, North West, and Yorkshire to ensure we continue creating opportunities for future talent.
