As part of our ongoing work with North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust, we’re proud to have played a role in bringing to life a much-needed rest and recharge hub.
The new space at the University Hospital of North Tees has provided an important break-out area for staff and volunteers to rest and refresh during their shifts.
The idea for this project came after one of the Trust’s fundraising coordinators assisted staff on a busy shift and heard firsthand about the importance of such a facility for their health and wellbeing.
Made possible thanks to the support of NHS Charities Together, and funding from the late Captain Sir Thomas Moore’s fundraising efforts, the new hub became a reality.
Overseen by the NTH Solutions team and with the support of other trusted supply chain partners, we were able to deliver a comprehensive 32-week project, featuring a kitchenette, seating, dining, and media area.
It’s fantastic to hear that the staff are already finding the space invaluable.
Great to work alongside the following partners to deliver this for staff and volunteers: P&HS Architects, BGP Consulting, Solmek Ltd, Castle Keep Surveying, Manor Grange Construction Ltd and The Beautiful Blind Company.
